Beauty Oils, your new secret weapon to glowing skin!

Have you tried beauty oils?  I was a bit hesitant too at first, but then I was hooked!  I know it wounds super weird to apply oil to the face, especially when my skin had oily days.

Beauty oils have become a popular skincare must have product and there’s no secret to why it’s gain popularity: it’s the one product that can actually treat your skin issues while giving you that glowing glass skin of your dream!  Sounds too good to be true?  Here’s how they work…

Beauty oil ingredients function as emollients, which means they strengthen the skin barrier and promote skin to generate smooth, softer and rejuvenated skin cells.  In addition, face oils work alongside the skin’s natural oils to balance skin complexion and rid your skin of excess grease (yes it helps regulate your skin’s sebum production), while locking in moisture!  The big bonus is that face oils are good for all skin types, yep even if you have oily or acne skin!

But wouldn’t my skin feel oily all day? To my surprise, it doesn’t and there wasn’t any sticky, greasy feel to my skin.  It also made my skin super smooth which meant my foundation stayed on all day.

But there’s more to these face oils…..they don’t just have to be for the face or to be used in replacement of a moisturizer! There’s numerous ways to use oils and here’s a few ways we use it:

As a Makeup remover:

Beauty oils are also great at removing makeup without stripping your skin of moisture.  You can apply a few drops to a cotton pad or into your palm and massage your skin, once you’re done, simply whip it off with a warm towel or rinse your face with warm water.  You can also follow this up with a foaming gentle cleanser.

For the hair:

Beauty oils can also be used on the hair before and/or after shampoo.  Here’s how to do it:

Before shampoo, you can use these oils as a treatment for dehydrated and damaged hair.  Massage the oil into the scalp and ends of damaged hair, leave in for a few minutes, then rinse and follow up with your shampoo.

After shampoo, use it as a finishing treatment.  Apply a few drops of oil into the palms of your hand, rub it up to warm it up and apply to your hair using your fingers like a comb, focus on damaged areas like the ends or dry spots on the scalp.  This will help give you that silky lustrous hair look!

For the body:

Beauty oils are also great as moisturizers for dry spots throughout the body like your elbows.  Simply apply a few drops into the palm of your hard, rub to warm it up and apply as needed.
